A Based on the incredible phenomenon, where billions of sardines after spawning on the Agulhas bank get swept up in a cold current moving northwards along the east coast of South Africa. This mass movement of sardines creates one of the most spectacular feeding frenzy attracting a vast array of species. Being an international Hope spot and located in the mits of two marine protected area, Plettenberg Bay beams with an incredible array of marine wildlife. Come and experience the magic the ocean has to offer in its natural state

Jump in water to witness some of the ocean's most amazing animals, from pods dolphins chasing bait fish into tight balls to an array of sharks feasting of this phenomenon.

„Possible sightings include bait balls of sardines chased by common dolphins, blue sharks, mako sharks, dusky sharks, bronze whalers, sunfish, striped dolphins, orcas, albatross, petrels, skuas, gannets to mention a few”


Hop aboard “Oceanic Express” for an exciting beach launch followed by 3-5 hours excursion approximately 5-10 nautical miles offshore into the deep.

7 Nights, 5 boat days - Port St Johns

5 Days at sea, tracking bait balls of sardines and snorkeling around it with an experienced skipper and guide aboard the Oceanic express 8m semi rigid boat. *(if conditions do not permit us to go to sea, land base excursion will be arranged) Basic 3mm wet-suits, open heel fins, weight belt, mask and snorkel will be provided 7 Nights of accommodation Including breakfast and lunch packs.
